flightoficarus (Metal Trenches) Loving the unique mix of djent with the Eastern-sounding melodies and instrumentation. Mendel meets Tengger Cavalry. Beautiful.

about

"I'm excited to share with you all the culmination of a year's worth of effort writing completely new material. The previous two albums were collections of older ideas that I've had over the years that I packaged into separate albums. This new album is sonically and thematically quite different from my other work.

While two of the songs on this record call back to motifs on my previous albums, I tried to make something unique and improve my songwriting skills while also attempting to create an album that can balance cohesion with variety.

It's very easy for music in this genre, especially the 'djent' scene, to get repetitive and sound the same. The last thing the scene needs is another instrumental space-themed, ambidjent artist. I'm trying to make music that I would like to listen to myself, while also pushing myself to find fresh sounds and structures to incorporate in my music.

I've always done all the production for my music, and while my previous albums were flawed in many ways, I find that they were useful stepping stones to get to where I'm at currently. Releasing 3 albums within the span of 12 months is certainly unusual, but considering the fact that the first 2 albums were mainly composed of ideas that were several years old, I was itching to create an album from scratch that is almost entirely brand new. Moving at the initial pace of focusing on quantity, I have been able to get significantly better at production and now I have the freedom to focus on quality.

I hope this album resonates!"
